Lachlan is humbled to give back through music to his community as Qwire's Music Director. He's witnessed the power of the arts to create stronger communities, especially through celebrating the human voice! His natural enthusiasm and passion for choral music is evident and he is a confident arts communicator.
Lachlan's ethos for community music is that striving for musical excellence should be uplifting, energising and entertaining for all those involved both on and off the stage.
He holds opera performance and music teaching degrees from the University of Queensland and has worked with a range of community ensembles from wind bands and orchestras to handbells, mandolins and choirs.
When not conducting, Lachlan is the fundraiser working for Equality Australia. He's also currently studying an MBA at the Australian Graduate School of Management within UNSW.
Callum studied a Bachelor of Music (Honours) in Pipe Organ performance and holds several diplomas in classical piano. He's in-demand as a conductor, repetiteur, accompanist, and soloist and has performed across Australia and internationally, including broadcasts on ABC Classic FM, commercial recordings for broadcast, advertising, and world premieres of new music. Callum is a respected fundraiser, who has spent a decade raising money to support programs at Musica Viva, the Sydney Symphony Orchestra, the Australian Youth Orchestra and the National Portrait Gallery.
